About Us
TFPSoft, LLC is an independent developer of PC, console and
coin-operated arcade games. TFPSoft is an authorized developer for the Nintendo Wii.
In addition to game development, we provide art, multimedia and custom development
services to larger studios and other businesses. Spanish localization
services are also available.
TFPSoft is based in sunny--very sunny--Phoenix, Arizona. Our offices are
located within the Camelback Corridor business and shopping district,
near the corner of Camelback and 12th Street.
Who We Are
TFPSoft was founded by Lisa Carter, who has been involved in the
video game industry in one way or another for over 15 years. In addition to the products
she has developed with TFP, her other engineering and game design credits include such best-selling
titles as Splashdown, Tiger Woods PGA Tour Golf 2000, and ATV Off Road Fury.
Before writing games, Lisa spent many years writing about games, and was an
editor and paid reviewer for a national video game magazine.
Lisa is joined by long-time cartoonist Chris Morrison,
whose animated film-style character designs charm viewers of all ages.
Product Strategy
With ever-rising development costs reaching into the multi-millions for the latest console releases, and even casual games boasting
budgets of $50-300K or more, game development can be a risky business... but to those who manage the risk, the rewards are even greater.
Jupiter Research predicts the total console market to exceed $13,382M by 2009--with an install base of over half of all US homes--and
the PC gaming market to exceed $3820M by 2009. Emerging markets such as the casual games space are experiencing rapid growth. According
to IGDA reports, the casual games market experienced a 100% market growth between 2003 and 2004, reaching over $600M, and is expected
to reach over $2 billion by 2008.
TFPSoft's development strategy is to minimize the risk through re-usable technology that reduces costs and shortens time to market.
We have also placed a strong emphasis on ease of portability, as cross-platform releases are becoming the norm and not the exception--especially
in the console market.

By leveraging our technology skills and combining them with an inspired, enthusiastic art and design staff who knows games, we are able
to deliver fun, imaginative products that are competitive in the market place. We are also well-positioned to provide content
to businesses who wish to build community around their brands using game content. Games are a great way to engage people in a way that other
more passive experiences just can't provide, and are a growing part of many effective marketing strategies.
